“Helping our unhoused neighbors in Dallas stay warm this winter”
You may not know this, but Dallas is leading the way in reducing the homeless population, with an over 20% decrease in homelessness since 2021!
While an incredible network of dedicated organizations here in Dallas continue to bring the total number of homeless down, we must continue to offer assistance and support to those who have yet to obtain housing and remain on the streets.
This winter, we launched the “Keep Dallas Warm Initiative” to get as many of our unhoused neighbors in the Dallas area better equipped to handle the upcoming winter months.
We supplied each individual with a high-quality jacket that is built for warmth but also light and easily portable, a backpack, and a water bottle to support proper hydration.
In the end, we were able to reach over 700 individuals without our efforts, which is over 20% of the entire homeless population in Dallas!
The response from partners and the community was incredible, and we absolutely plan on doing this again next year with an even larger reach!
